I've started a new series of paper artworks inspired by traditional Japanese art.
This interest in Japanese culture is not new for me: first I became fascinated with the art of origami when I was still in junior school, and later I started to interpret some of the well known masterpieces using my own graphic style. One of the examples is this door in my old bedroom that I decorated back in High School.
Recently I found myself once again looking and appreciating the amazing qualities of Japanese nature paintings and decided to work on paper interpretation of some of the motifs that I like the most.
Here are the first three artworks that I've finished so far; looking forward to exploring this theme further.
